DON'T STOP WHEN YOU'RE TIRED: STOP WHEN YOU ARE DONE.
CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone—people who are just starting out and people who have trained for years.

CROSSFIT
With us you will face high intensity and high technical coefficient training; shoulder to shoulder we will guide you by teaching you to manage high fatigue conditions, develop very complex movements and be confident with loads moved quickly for several minutes.
The analysis of training methods in various sports and the observation of the technical quality of many crossfitters have led us to understand that CrossFit is often interpreted incorrectly and therefore dangerous: the desire to proceed quickly towards complex executions and high loads leads to birth of incorrect motor patterns and therefore of potentially dangerous whole workouts.
This wrong approach has led us to create a gradual path in several levels depending on the difficulty that allows the athlete to master complex techniques and relevant loads without risks.

base
In the Basic course, you will take the first steps towards learning our fundamental movements: motor schemes of primary difficulty that will allow you to regain control of your body. You will begin to work freely and with weights, concentrating on becoming familiar with the technical gestures that will accompany you throughout your journey.

advanced
In this level you will try to consolidate the movements you have learned in the basic course: you will also be taught more complex techniques and intensity will be added to the workouts. You will begin to become familiar with the Olympic lifts and gymnastic movements, until you master them with confidence and awareness at a high level of technique.

athlet
The competition becomes the maximum moment of confrontation. Once you reach the top of your form you will have the opportunity to compete by representing CrossFit Woodwork: you will have the right to be called WoodWork Athlete.
Only with the utmost will you be able to face rigorous training to prepare yourself for challanges and competitions.

FAQ
Yes. Everyone can do CrossFit regardless of age, injuries and current fitness levels. The program is modified for each person to help him or her safely become healthier and fitter. Grandparents and Olympians can perform modified versions of the same general workout.
No. CrossFit is the program that will get you in shape. No matter what your current fitness level is, you can start CrossFit. As you become fitter, workouts will become more challenging. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness and move you toward your goals.
Yes. CrossFit training is very safe, and sitting on your couch is actually incredibly dangerous. In CrossFit boxes, credentialed trainers provide precise instructions and coaching to help people move safely and efficiently, helping people avoid all the diseases that come from inactivity, obesity and poor nutrition.
The division into levels Beginner and Advanced is probably the most important choice in the way we operate. Even if it goes “against the current” with respect to the traditional method of approaching classes (which includes a direct insertion after the mandatory lesson package called “On ramp”) we believe that this system can more faithfully reflect the natural path of a neophyte who wants to approach the CrossFit
We don’t want to teach you the Snatch until you demonstrate optimal control of the column, so we choose to make you technically improve on the Deadlift. This will not give a direct transfer but will allow you not to get unprepared on more complex exercises. It will limit the risk of injury by frustrating weeks or months of training.
“But you can climb the Snatch in Deadlift even in a unified class!” This is true, but it would not be the same thing. Being able to follow a homogeneous group on a fundamental movement (a more than appropriate term!) Is a system that has proved successful in these years.
In the same way we will be able to concentrate more effectively on the boys of the Advanced class, who will certainly have less individual problems to slow down the whole group
To pass the level, a commitment commensurate with the desire to improve is enough. Those who really wanted to switch to a complete CrossFit, got there by engaging with Double Under and Pullup!
The result?
- Classes without abnormal capacity gaps among participants
- A medium level of preparation that allowed 80% of Advanced class children to qualify in competitions without the need for individual programming
- Greater harmony of the groups thanks to the sense of common commitment
- Perception of the construction of a real improvement path with gradual and orderly acquisition of skills
This system bears our signature and can not be understood and embraced by everyone, but we are sure that in the gym the result is as important as the fun.
CrossFit improves general physical preparedness (GPP). We have designed our program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of 10 fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFit was developed to enhance an individual’s competency at all physical tasks. People who do CrossFit are prepared for all challenges, whether they come in the gym, on a playing field or as part of daily life.
No, it’s not a men’s sport. In reality, no sport is exclusive to men or women, and it is quite absurd to think of it: doing sport and physical activity is a healthy and effective way to stay fit and increase the performance of your body, as well as let go everyday stress and meet new friends. As in all physical activities you will surely see your body change, become more toned and sculpted, but certainly as a girl you won’t “look like a man”.
Yes, to enroll in the WoodWork you need a non-competitive medical certificate for sports. It is possible to make the certificate directly in one of the two WoodWork boxes thanks to Dr. Ranieri Bettini, who, by appointment, will visit you and release the suitability to practice sports.
